text conversation with the gentleman at 1am
the gentleman: cold medicine dream number one. driving through england. interview with judi dench on the radio. it gets really staticy. i play with the dial... and look up to see everyone on the roofs of their houses, using colanders and frying pans to reflect the broadcast back into the sky as they chant something like NO MORE SOUND OF MUSIC or SHE AIN'T NO DAME.
me: i've decided that if you're still feeling crappy on wednesday, i'm coming over with soup and tea and schwarzenegger movies from the library.
the gentleman: question... if you're on the highway and someone who just robbed a bank blows by you being chased by a bunch of cop cars... and somehow a bag of money is either shot open or thrown out the window. are you committing a crime by stopping to pick it up? or is it fair game at that point?
me: depends what you do with it. keep it... yes, it is probably a crime. turn it in... no? why do you ask?
the gentleman: bc ud be a sucker not to keep it. and idk.
