dearest darling tumblr followers,
as valentine’s day approaches, i offer you two gifts for putting up with me for lo, these many [minutes/days/weeks/months, as the case may be]. the first:
a photograph of me from valentine’s day, 2005. senior year of high school, calculus class. our teacher was from north dakota, and was fired after this year. the other kid in the picture had some of the best sideburns i’ve ever encountered. you can see exactly how valentine’s day makes me feel. there’s a reason i generally refer to it as VD.
the second:
a valentine i received from a particularly off-kilter friend two years ago, via facebook, along with all of his other female facebook friends. i can only assume that we are intended to be the womancop in this image, and he is the mancop, but there’s no way to know for sure. this is approximately how valentine’s day goes for me every year.
